Tanzania Incident: Death toll rises to 200

Nairobi: At least 183 people have been confirmed dead in a boat accident in Tanzania's Victoria Lake on Thursday and a person was saved on Saturdays while searching for other missing people.

 

 

 

According to the officials, on Saturday morning some noise was heard in this boat called MV Nyerere, which caused some people to be alive in the boat, after which four naval naval enters. The eyewitness told that the divers had evacuated a live person from a booby-trapped boat and admitted him to the hospital. His health was not known.

 

 

 

According to official broadcaster TBC, the number of dead has increased to 183. The bodies were seen floating above the boat even today. According to preliminary estimates, more than 300 people were boarded in the boat. Minister for Construction, Transport and Communications, Isaac Kamleva said that the government is sending sophisticated equipment to rescue relief. He said, this tool will be helpful in enhancing the capacity of the relief rescue operation and we will continue the relief efforts till the survival of all the survivors. The bodies of the dead people are being identified in the accident.
