Amritsar incident: Railways will run massive anti-encroachment campaign; budget will not create 'obstacle'

Delhi,21,October,2018

New Delhi: Railway Board President Ashwani Lohani on Saturday said that the Railways will launch a comprehensive campaign against encroachment on tracks in the country across the country. This statement has come at a time when on Friday 59 people were killed when a train hit Dussehra and the railway had termed it as a "clear case of encroachment".

Lohani said that the Railways have run such campaigns before, but stop the pausing. Railway started the campaign last year even after the cases of "deaths related to selfie" were found on railway tracks across the country. He said, "We will launch a nation-wide campaign against encroachment and its threats. We can do this to prevent such accidents. "
