New Delhi: The Delhi Petrol Dealers Association (DPDA) has asked Delhi Petrol and CNG pump to start the morning from October 6 to October 23, on the morning of October 22, for the demand to cut price (VAT) on petrol and diesel in the capital. Has called for keeping off.
According to the release issued by the DPDA on Monday, the petrol and CNG pumps will be closed in protest against the Delhi government's refusal to cut VAT. On October 22, all 400 petrol pumps in Delhi will neither buy petrol, diesel and CNG nor sell it. Association president Nishchal Singhania said that the Central Government announced the reduction in prices of petrol and diesel on September 4. After this many states cut VAT on their own.
State of neighboring states of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh also cut VAT and thereby providing relief to the consumers there. But the Delhi government refused to reduce the VAT, which is why the prices of petrol and diesel are higher in comparison to the neighboring states. Due to the increased prices in Delhi, there has been a sharp decline in the prices of petrol and diesel here. Due to the difference in prices of neighboring states, diesel sales have declined by 50 percent in this quarter and 25 percent of petrol.
