Government Can Forgive Half Of The Debt Of Air India

Union government is considering waiving more than half of its debt on the company to woo buyers of Air India, the state-run airline airline. Sources aware of the case gave this information. Air India has a debt of about 55 thousand crore rupees.
 

 

According to a report by Bloomberg, on the condition of anonymity, sources said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government has planned to ask the proposed investors to take over the company's debt of Rs 30,000 crore. The government may issue an expression of interest on December 15 to sell the company.
