New Delhi: Amrapali Builders have suffered a major setback. Today the Supreme Court has ordered the confiscation of many properties including Amrapali Builders' 5-star hotel, mall, consumer goods company, office. The Debt Recovery Tribunal will make auction of its flat buyers by doing auctions. About 3000 crore rupees of flat buyers are accused of doing business in Amrapali Builders.
Flat buyers lawyer ML Lohati said that in the case of Amrapali Builders today, the Supreme Court has given 4-5 important instructions or decisions. He said in the court that now we can not wait any more. Amrapali Builders has already violated the court orders. The court had ordered that all the documents of 2008-2018 be handed over to the Forensic Auditor but Amrapali Builders did not do so and so far the Forensic Auditor has not received any documents.
Today the Supreme Court has ordered the Amrapali Builders to hand over all documents to the Forensic Auditor by Monday. Amrapali Builders said that he has distributed 2,995 crores and he has been asked to submit the entire money to the Supreme Court account till Monday.
Earlier, the Supreme Court had also directed to seal nine properties in Amrapali group Noida and Greater Noida on October 11. There are documents related to the group's 46 companies in these properties. Apart from this, the Amrapali group had given orders to seal two properties in Rajgir and Buxar of Bihar and after sealing them, their keys should be handed over to the Registrar of the Supreme Court.
