Virat Kohli raises questions raised on SG ball, says 'Duke Ball' is better for Tests

Delhi,11,October,2018

Indian captain Virat Kohli on Thursday said Test cricket should be played across the world by the Duke Ball made in England. They expressed unhappiness over the poor quality of SG balls, which India uses in the country. Kohli said before the second Test against the West Indies, "I believe that the Duke's ball is best suited for Test cricket. I would recommend using this ball around the world. Its seam is stiff and straightforward and continuity in this ball remains. "

The ICC does not have any specific guidelines regarding the use of the ball and every country uses different types of balls. India uses the 'SG' balls made in the country. England and the West Indies Duke while Australia, Pakistan and Sri Lanka use Kuckabura. Before Kohli, off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin had said that he feels better while bowling to Kookaburra compared to SG. Asked about Ashwin's complaint, Kohli supported this spinner.

Kohli said, "I totally agree with them. The ball is lost in five overs, so we have never seen it before. The quality of the ball used before was very good and I do not know why it has come down now. "He said," Duke Ball is still good quality. Kookaburra is also of good quality. Whatever the limitations of the Kookaburra (the seam is flattening), its quality is never compromised. ''
