Many people were injured in a clash between political parties in two districts of West Bengal. The police gave this information on Monday. Several polling agents of opposition parties were beaten up and after Sunday's by-elections in the seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabha elections and the four seats in the assembly, several workers' homes and vehicles were attacked.
Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers allegedly beaten up two Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP ) workers (Chandel Mandal and Nantu Bera) in the Sagar assembly constituency under Mathurpur Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency on Sunday night . Both of them were admitted to the Sagar Rural Hospital due to injuries caused by the assault.
'Attack on BJP's father's worker'
One police officer said, "Two injured were rescued from the spot and admitted to hospital. No one has been arrested and investigation is on. A local BJP leader said that the father of a party worker was attacked with a knife in Dum Dum area. A local BJP leader said, "After the voting on Sunday, the alleged Trinamool supporter goons attacked the houses of three BJP workers in Gosaba of Jaynagar Lok Sabha area. On Sunday, Trinamool supporters damaged the homes of two workers and demolished a worker's house on Monday.
