Indian team spinner Ravichandran Ashwin's final decision has been made about the team in the upcoming IPL. Ashwin will be seen playing for Delhi Capitals in the next IPL season. Kings XI Punjab has given Ashwin the Delhi franchise for one crore rupees through trade between the two teams.
According to the agreement between the two franchises, the Delhi franchise will give Punjab one crore rupees and its all-rounder Jagadish Suchit in exchange for Ravichandran Ashwin.
The Punjab team had demanded fast bowler Trent Bolt from Delhi in lieu of Ashwin, which was turned down. Ravichandran Ashwin was associated with Kings XI Punjab for the last two years. For two years, he captained the Punjab team. However, he also failed to take the team to the playoffs.
For a long time, there were reports that Punjab franchise wants to remove Ashwin. Team co-owner Ness Wadia said during a conversation with news agency PTI, “Everyone is happy with this deal. We are happy, Ashwin and Delhi capitals are also happy. Regarding Ashwin, we were in touch with three teams, but were able to make the final deal with Delhi. We want to convey our best wishes to Ashwin for the future to come. "
