Delhi Capitals (DC) wants to add Ajinkya Rahane , who was the captain of Team Rajasthan Royals . He is in talks with Rajasthan Royals (RR) in this regard. If there is a synergy between the two franchise teams, Rahane will be seen playing for Delhi in the next season of the IPL.
Sources said that in this regard, talks are going on between the two franchisees and if everything goes as desired then Rahane can be seen as a Delhi player in the 2020 IPL season. The source said, "Yes, Delhi Capitals wants to join Rahane but it is too early to say that the deal will take its form." Many things have to be kept in mind as Rahane has been playing for Rajasthan team for years and has become an identity of each other. The conversation is going on anyway.
If the agreement is reached, then the Delhi team will go a long way in the process of preparing themselves anew. In the last season, Delhi had given opener Shikhar Dhawan from Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by giving three players. Dhawan scored 521 runs in the last season and this is the reason that Delhi team succeeded in playing the playoffs for the first time since 2012.
A Delhi Capitals official said that it would be a very good thing if Rahane joined the team as it would give the team a new look as well as strength. Rahane played for Mumbai Indians in 2008 and 2009. He did not play in the 2010 IPL and then joined Rajasthan in 2011.
This was followed by Choli-Daaman from Rahane and Rajasthan. The Rajasthan team was restricted for two years in between and Rahane played for Pune during this period. After this, he returned to the team again but now it seems that the situation is going to change.
