4,24,689 seats have been abolished in other programs including engineering, management, pharmacy and architecture across the country. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) will enroll in a bachelor, postgraduate and diploma program at 32,09,703 seats in the 2019 session. Not only that, 226 technical colleges have shut down their campus due to the lack of the students and the completion of the expenditure. While not fulfilling the rules, the AICTE has locked 237 colleges.
AICTE has completed the process of getting admission in the 2019 session. With this, the council is going to share the information of programs including the colleges, seats, which are recognized in 2019 with the Technical Education Board of the States.
735 technical colleges across the country will not be able to enroll in the 2019 session. Engineering includes 376 colleges, 73 pharmacy colleges, 327 colleges in management, and architecture, MCA, art and croft, HMCT and 114 colleges of design. This college will not be able to enroll in any degree and diploma program in the first year. However, students of second, third, fourth year can study as before.
850 new colleges recognized
AICTE has recognized 850 technical colleges for 2019 sessions. Engineering colleges include 154 colleges, 842 colleges of pharmacy, 74 colleges of management and 38 colleges. In these new colleges, students will get the opportunity to study in different degree programs for the first time.
- 9915 old colleges have approved to study in the 2019 session. There are 30 lakh 83 thousand 594 seats in it.
- A total of 850 new colleges have been approved in the 2019 session. There are 1,26,113 seats newly added.
- In 2018, lock and lock 3,30,000 seats in 545 colleges were finished.
