Mumbai: Andy Ceauce's film 'Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle' will be released on December 7, on Netflix platform. This film is based on Rupyad Kipling's novel 'The Jungle Book', in which Rohan Chand will look into the main role of the child growing up in the forest. The statement released by Netflix was told that the film will be released in limited theaters in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and London on November 29.
About this, actor-director Andy Sekkas said on Thursday that without knowing its Indian roots, it is impossible to tell the story of 'Mowgli'. Sekus is known for the film 'Ladies of Rings' and 'Planet of the Apes'. He said, "You can not tell the world without accepting that the story of Mowgli was born in India and Rupyad Kipling was from India." He was speaking here at Netflix's SeaWatch Next: Asia program.
Sekus said, "I always wanted to emulate the emotional side of Mowgli's story in my film. We see many versions of the Jungle Book but I want to show it in the "external" and "mystery". He said, "When Rudyard wrote this book, it was too small. His first language was Hindi and then he was sent to Britain against his will. So we can say that they learned a lot from their experience. The same thing will be in my film. It will be fully focused on Mowgli. ''
