Many records made in the US midterm elections

New York: There were many records in the mid-term elections held in America. For the first time, a large number of voters came out to cast their vote and for the first time two Muslim women, one youngest woman, were sent to Congress. Apart from these, a gay man has been elected as governor.

 

 

 

 

Ilhan Omar, a Muslim woman, won from the fifth Congressional District of Minnesota and by the Rashida Talib, from the 13th Congressional District seat of Michigan. Both have become the first Muslim women to be elected to the Congress. Both of them have won on the ticket of the opposition Democrats.
