Research claims, it is not easy to identify fake news of Facebook

Mumbai,08,November,2019

It is not easy to detect misinformation or fake news on Facebook. According to a study, social networking sites make the difference between fact and fiction more difficult.

According to the study published in the journal 'Management Information System Quarterly', a wireless electroencephalography (EEG) headset was placed in the participants' body to monitor their brain activity while running Facebook.

Researchers said that only 44 percent of the participants rated the news correctly, with most of them believing the news to be true that matched their own political views.
