New Delhi: Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu will visit Europe, Serbia, Malta and Romania from Friday. On behalf of the External Affairs Ministry, it was told on Thursday that Naidu would be on a trip to these three countries from September 14 to 20.
Anju Kumar, joint secretary of Central Europe Affairs in the Ministry of External Affairs said that in the first phase of the trip, Naidu will travel to Serbia from September 14 to 16. During this time he will meet the Speaker of the National Assembly and the Prime Minister, besides the President of Serbia, Alexander Wausique. Naidu, who is going to Serbia on Voicik's invitation, will also address the special session of the National Assembly. Kumar said that this is the first top-level trip from Serbia to India after the fragmentation of Yugoslavia.
Voices came to India last year as the Prime Minister of Serbia. During this time, he participated in the conference of the Vibrant Gujarat. Kumar said that in the second phase of the trip, Naidu will travel to Malta from September 16 to 18. During this time he will meet the President of Malta, Mary Lewis Colero Preca, speaker of the House of Representatives and the Executive Prime Minister. During this time he will also meet the people and businessmen of the Indian community in Malta.
