Action may be taken on Flipkart, Amazon, violating rules

Delhi,09,November,2018

New Delhi : Brokers increase due to offers and cashbacks given on the e-commerce website in the festive season. In this case, duplicate products also increase. Indian Competition Commission (CCI) has said that the business activities of Flipkart and Amazon are stated against the competition rules. He also dismissed the accusations of establishing dominance in the market through grouping of online shoppers.

In its order, the CCI has made it clear that any kind of interference should be done in the emerging e-commerce market so that there is no adverse impact on innovation. The Commission has said this in the wake of concerns about the alleged unfair business activities in the fast growing online market. The CCI has given this latest order on the complaint of All India Online Vendors Association, a group of over 2,000 vendors selling goods at various e-commerce markets.
