Delhi,18,June,2019

Congress President Rahul Gandhi was sworn in as the Lok Sabha member for the fourth time on Monday, but after taking the oath he forgot to sign the Register of the Lok Sabha. After being reminded by officials and MPs, Rahul signed. Rahul has been elected to Parliament from Wayanad of Kerala. He also contested from his family's Amethi Lok Sabha seat, but lost to the Union Minister Smriti Irani with more than 55,000 votes.

Gandhi took oath in English on Monday afternoon and then proceeded to his seat. After this he was reminded about the necessary signature, after which he signed the register. Earlier in the day, members of the ruling party found him absent and asked about him.

Immediately after questioning his absence, Gandhi wrote on Twitter: "My fourth term as a Lok Sabha member starts from today. Representing Wayanad of Kerala, I am starting my new innings with this swearing in this afternoon. I will be true faith and loyalty to the Constitution of India. ' 542 newly elected MLAs will be sworn in for the first two days of the budget session. Its process started with President Ramnath Kovind giving the oath to Promoted Speaker Virendra Kumar. After this, Kumar swore to other MPs. Congress has not announced its leader in the House yet.
