Team India's talented spinner Kuldeep Yadav reached the second position in the ICC T-20 bowlers rankings, while India remained second behind Pakistan in the team ranking despite two ranking points. Kuldeep took two wickets for 26 runs in the last ODI against New Zealand. India lost the match by four runs and by 1-2 series. Afghanistan's leg spinner Rashid Khan is second in the table.
There is no other Indian bowler in the top ten. Kuldeep's spin partner Yugavendra Chahal has dropped six places to 17th position while Bhuvneshwar Kumar is at 18th place. Among the batsmen, Indian vice-captain Rohit Sharma has gained three places and KL Rahul has dropped three places. Babar Azam of Pakistan is on top. Rohit is seventh and Rahul is tenth while Shikhar Dhawan is in 11th place. Virat Kohli, who is out of the series against New Zealand, dropped four places to be joint 19th with Zimbabwe's Hamilton Masakaja.
Leg spinner, Kunal Pandya, is at 39th position with 58th best ranking. New Zealand captain Ken Williamson rose one notch to finish 12th, Ross Taylor climbed seven places to 51nd and Tim Ceffert was 87th in the 83rd position.
