Pakistan again before the first visit of US President Donald Trump to India, apart from the ragas of Kashmir. It said it hoped Trump would take some concrete practical steps on his offer to mediate on Kashmir during his visit to India next week. Trump is scheduled to visit India on 24 and 25 February.
Foreign Office (FO) spokeswoman Aisha Farooqui expressed hope at the weekly media briefing here that President Trump's offer for mediation would be pursued through some concrete practical steps. Farooqui made this comment in response to questions asked about Trump's visit to India and the situation in Kashmir.
He said that four US senators wrote a letter to Foreign Minister Mike Pompeo to draw their attention to the situation in Kashmir. Let us know that India has repeatedly said that there is no scope for any third party to mediate between India and Pakistan over Kashmir but Pakistan does not come to halt and has approached the US several times.
