In Himachal, the Central Government will spend Rs 518 crores and install 30 small projects through the Food Processing Ministry. This was stated by Union Food Processing Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal while inaugurating the video conferencing of Crimea Food Park at Singaana in Una district worth Rs 110 crore on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Jairam Thakur also gave his message through video conferencing. The Union Minister said that the Center has spent Rs 110 crore on setting up the country's largest Mega Food Park in Una, which will be operated by the Crimea company.
Harsimrat said that in this project, Crimea will invest 100 crores, on which the center will subsidize 50 crores. It has about thirty units and the ability to connect. In this way, there will be an investment of about 300 crore. Annual turnover of all these companies is about 500 crores.
Five thousand people will get direct employment in the park and 25 thousand farmers will get benefit. He also announced the opening of three food processing labs in Himachal, one of which would be installed in Singa. The Union Minister said that the former Congress government has opened only two mega food parks during its tenure, but the Modi government has dedicated this 15th food park to the country. A total of 25 food parks will be ready in five years.
Himachal ready for big investment: Jairam
Chief Minister Jairam Thakur thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur for food park from video conferencing. He said that Himachal is ready for big investment. He invited industrialists to invest in tourism and eco tourism sector in the state.
CM said that after the Lok Sabha elections, Global Industrial Meat will be convened at Dharamsala, so that the investors will go towards Himachal. He said that there is a possibility of investment of three hundred crores in Una Food Park. On this occasion MP Anurag Thakur, Industry Minister Bikram Thakur, Vice President of HPSIDC Prof. Ramkumar, Chairman of Crimea Akshaya Bachatkar etc. were present.
