American House's first Hindu MP Tulsi Gabbard has said that he will be a contender for the 2020 presidential election. After the MP Elizabeth Verne, the 37-year-old Gabbard is the second female presidential candidate from the Democratic Party. To challenge President Donald Trump in 2020, so far more than 12 Democratic leaders have announced their claim for the presidential post.
Four times Democrat MP Gabard told the US House of Representatives from Hawaii on Friday, "I have decided to stand in the election and will make a formal announcement within next week."
Gabbard had adopted Hinduism in his childhood and he is very popular among Indian-Americans. If he is elected, he will be the youngest and the first woman president of America. Apart from this, he will be the first non-Christian and the first Hindu who will be in the top rank. However, American political scholars are not showing much of their conquest.
