The youth of a Himachal panchayat has become an example for other panchayats to tackle the corona virus. The youths of Theog tehsil of Shimla have decided to send one sanitizer free of cost to every household. The youth are active on their WhatsApp group Voice of Kyar Panchayat. A large number of people have also come forward to contribute for this. Through this group on social media, these youth have so far taken the initiative to collect contributions of thousands of rupees.
Many of these youth are also working in different areas outside Himachal. Among these youth, Rajesh Sharma, Ramesh Kamal, Brajesh Sharma, Kamal Sharma, Sanjay Sharma etc. have contributed Rs 1000-1500 per person. Ramesh Kamal and other youths called for it. There are about 700 houses in this gram panchayat. Kamal said that amidst the government's order of social distancing, it is now being decided how to deliver this sanitizer from door to door.
Made aware to sew masks at home
These youth have also called upon people to sew masks with clean washed clothes at home. For this, the registers are also being requested in the Panchayat to sew this mask using the remaining cloth after stitching it. This information was given by young Sanjay Sharma of Samb village of Panchayat.
A youth minister was also patted
Govind Thakur, the Transport Secretary of the state general secretary of the private bus operator's association associated with the same social media group and Ramesh Kamal, general secretary of BJP's District Scheduled Caste Morcha, has also patted him. Kamal also campaigned to sanitize private buses.
