Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on Thursday that the employees, who were recruited on contract basis by the Delhi government, the board and the corporation, will get the payment under the minimum wage fixed before August 4. Let the Delhi High Court dismiss the order of the Delhi government's March 2017 order on 4th August.
In the order of March 2017, the Delhi government asked the workers of all sections to revise the minimum wage. The court had said that the decision to review the minimum wage was taken in haste and the workers affected were not even discussed. Deputy CM Sisodia said that during the recent inspection of government schools and offices, the cleaning personnel and the Security Guard had complained to them that they are getting lesser wages as a result of the order of the High Court.
Sisodia said that all those who have been appointed on the basis of direct contract in Delhi Government, Board and Corporation or have been appointed by the contractor for the various works in the Delhi Government on a minimum wage rate basis. They will be paid at the rate before August 4. He said that this decision has been taken in the Cabinet meeting.
