Ghazni: At Taliban militants in a provincial capital city of Afghanistan, at least one Afghan soldier has died. The conflict is still going on. Provincial Governor Spokeswoman Arif Noori told that an Afghan soldier died in the ongoing fight in southwestern city of Ghazni and seven others were injured.
The spokesman said that municipal houses and military checkposts have been attacked by mortars. The bodies of dozens of Taliban fighters are lying on the streets. Provincial Police Chief Fareed Ahmed Mashal said that the Taliban had attacked various places around the city yesterday. Local resident, Yassan, told that the Taliban boys announced a loudspeaker engaged in the mosque that people should come out of their homes and leave. Yasan has written in his Facebook post, "The sounds of tremendous blasts and guns can be heard. We are horrified. "
A security official said that a large number of police forces were deployed to stop the Taliban from moving forward in the city. Meanwhile, the Taliban issued a statement saying that it has occupied most of the government buildings in the city. The group has said that 140 people of the enemy force have been killed or injured so far.
