Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has recorded a record of 100 per cent placement for its Best Post Graduate Program (PGP). The Institute informed this on Sunday. There were 441 students in this program. A statement from the institute was told that 123 companies of different areas participated in this process of placement and offered a total of 501 offers i.e., more than one offer for 15 percent of batch students.
50% of the students of the batch accepted the offer of Consulting (29) and Finance (21%) area. Reputed consulting companies such as AT Kearney, Ben & Company, Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey & Company have offered salaries of more than 10 million annually.
Major finance employers included Goldman Sex, Bank of America, Merrill Lynch (BAML), City, JP Morgan Chase and Deutsche Bank. Companies of e-commerce, operations and product management sector also attracted a large group of 2019 batch where 68 offers were accepted. Amazon, Uber, Flight, Media Dot Net, Flipkart, Microsoft were among the big names in this area.
A CTC of an average of Rs 25.36 lakh was offered which shows an increase of 1.16 lakh rupees compared to last year. Institution director Anuj Seth said, "I am very happy to see such a strong demand for the students' skills in our MBA program. It is his talent and the testimony of the high quality education we give to the institute. "
