New Delhi: Prices of petrol and diesel were steady for the second consecutive day today. Oil companies have increased 19 paise on petrol and 28 paise on diesel in the national capital Delhi. After that, a liter petrol is selling at 69 rupees, 7 paise and diesel at 62 rupees 81 paise. Earlier, in Delhi yesterday, the price of petrol was increased to 38 and diesel was increased by 29 paise. After the price rise, petrol in Delhi was priced at 68.88 and diesel was Rs 62.53 per liter.
Talking about Mumbai, the price of one liter petrol here is 74 rupees 72 paise and the price of diesel is 65 rupees 73 paise. There was a hike in petrol prices by 19 paise and 30 paise on diesel.
In Delhi-NCR Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and Gururgram, the petrol has been priced at Rs 69.24, Rs 69.11, Rs 70.48 and Rs 70.27 per liter respectively. In these four cities, diesel has been selling 62.42 rupees, 62.28 rupees, 63.24 rupees and 63.03 rupees per liter respectively.
Prices of petrol in some other major cities, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Patna, Ranchi, Bhopal and Jaipur have gone up to Rs 65.32, Rs 69.11, Rs 73.22, Rs 68.18, Rs 72.10 and Rs 69.85 per liter, respectively. In these six cities, diesel prices have gone upto Rs 59.82, Rs 62.31, Rs 66.08, Rs 63.97, Rs 64.04 and Rs 65.18 per liter respectively.
The price for petrol and diesel has increased for the third time this week. Oil companies had also raised prices on Monday. The main reason for the rise in oil prices is the rise in crude oil prices in the international market.
