Stock market opened with a bounce on Monday. The Bombay Stock Exchange's 30-share index Sensex gained 279.13 points to open at 41,072.94, while the National Stock Exchange's Nifty gained 81 points to trade at 12,137.05. The shares of telecom and auto sector are seeing a boom.
Before the release of GDP (GDP) growth figures, the Sensex was down by 336.36 points, or 0.82 percent, to close at 40,793.81 points on Friday, while the Nifty was down 95.10 points or 0.78 percent to close at 12,056.05 points. The stock market move will be affected this week by fluctuations in China and US relations over the PMI survey report on manufacturing and services sector growth, the Reserve Bank's policy decisions, vehicle sales figures and Hong Kong.
The Sensex was up 199.69 points at 40,993.50 on Monday at 9:45 am, while the Nifty was trading at 12,103.45 with a strength of 47.40 points.
