telecom operator Airtel is testing its Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWi-Fi) calling service at different locations in India. This means that Airtel users will be able to call with the help of their Wi-Fi network with the help of this service. With the help of this service, users will be able to make calls even if there is no cellular network.
According to an ET Telecom report, Airtel has completed beta testing of its VoWi-Fi calling feature. This testing has been done between the employees and customers of the company. The report says that Airtel can rollout its service in December only. Airtel has been confirmed by sources that VoWi-Fi calling is being tested in several locations.
