The Delhi University Teachers Association has called for an indefinite strike in protest against the decision of the Delhi University Principal Association to postpone the appointment of ad hoc teachers. According to reports, in its meeting held on 29 November, Delhi University Principal Association has decided to postpone the appointment of ad hoc teachers and disbursement of their salaries.
This decision has been made on the basis of DU circular issued on August 28, stating that only guest teachers can be appointed on the vacant posts left in the current academic session. 4, for the last several years in Delhi University More than 500 teachers are working on ad hoc basis.
