After the stability of one day in petrol and diesel prices, the cut was reported on Thursday. On Wednesday, on the day of Diwali, the price of petrol remained constant after six days of continuous decline. Diesel prices were also recorded for the first five consecutive days. Petrol price in Delhi was 21 paise per liter and diesel price was 18 paise per liter.
According to IndianOil website, petrol was priced at Rs 78.21 per liter in Delhi, Rs 80.13 in Kolkata, Rs 83.72 in Mumbai and Rs 81.24 in Chennai.
In the four metros of the country, diesel was priced at Rs 72.89 in Delhi, Rs 74.75 in Kolkata, Rs 76.38 in Mumbai and Rs 77.05 per liter in Kolkata.
In Kolkata and Mumbai, the price of petrol was reduced by 20 paise, while diesel prices were 18 paise and 19 paise per liter respectively. In Chennai, the price of petrol was reduced by 22 paisa a liter, while the price of diesel was 19 paise per liter.
