Patanjali Ayurveda of Baba Ramdev has announced the arrival of milk and its products (curd, cheese) in the dairy sector on Thursday. The company has set a sales target of Rs 1,000 crore for this area. Apart from this, Patanjali also stepped in the frozen vegetable category and introduced products like Sweet Corn, Peas and Potato Fingers.
Addressing the conference, Ramdev said that we have set a target of doing business worth Rs. 1,000 crore in the next financial year from the dairy sector. We will make a turnover of 500 crores this fiscal year. Patanjali has a network of around 56,000 retailers, through which supplies of milk will be supplied to Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune and Rajasthan. Ramdev said that he is running with the goal of selling 10 lakh liters of milk per day. He said that in addition to regular (packet) milk, milk and made products will also be offered in the Tetra pack.
Patanjali also introduced bottled water in the name of 'Divya Jal'
Ramdev said that residents of Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Rajasthan can buy Patanjali milk from their nearby stores soon, which is 2 rupees cheaper than other brands. Patanjali has also introduced bottled water in various sizes by the name 'Divya Jal'. The company has also launched products such as frozen peas, other vegetables and French fries. According to Patanjali, the price of frozen vegetables will be at half the price of its competition, while the packaged drinking water will be available in packs of 250 ml, 500 ml, 1 liter, 2 liters, 5 liters and 20 liters. However, the company has not yet disclosed the price of its products.
