Delhi,15,August,2018

New Delhi: Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday assured the Armed Forces that there will be no shortfall in efforts to provide all the dues and facilities to them. Nirmala said that for the first time since independence, the Ministry of Defense has decided to improve the Indian Army in a planned manner by discussing with the Army.

The Defense Minister said that under the first phase of reform, about 57,000 posts of officers, junior commissioned officers (JCOs), other ranks (OR) and civilian personnel will be slightly rescheduled and reconstituted. He said that all the available funds are being used in the maximum so that there is no shortage of necessary things.
