The former Beowch Star supported a campaign of Compassion in World Farming on Wednesday. The purpose of this campaign is to get the signature of one million people in seven countries of the European Union in support of this practice. He told reporters, "I do not think any animal should be kept in the cage for entertainment or what we wear or eat."
He said, "All our choices are important and we should be more careful about our decisions. Animal welfare organizations have taken a long way, but we have to go further. "This petition is a part of the European Citizens Initiative, which means that if they raise one million signatures within a year, then the European Commission will consider the issue.
