A jawan of Indian army martyred in suspected IED blast on Sunday in Akhnoor district. It is being told that this army soldier was going somewhere in a truck with his companions. Meanwhile, three truck-ridden soldiers were seriously injured due to the blast on the way. Shaheed Havildar has been identified as Santosh Kumar, a resident of Agra in UP.
According to information quoted by sources, the accident took place in Pallanwala area near the Line of Control in Akhnoor. The three soldiers injured in the accident were admitted to the Army's Northern Command military hospital. A young man died during treatment here. A defense spokesperson said that martyr Havildar Santosh Kumar was a resident of Pura Bhadauria village in Agra.
Army officials began the investigation
According to military sources, the condition of the jawans admitted in the military hospital in Udhampur is critical and they have been kept under medical supervision. Apart from this, in the area of Akhnoor where the blast has taken place, the teams of Army National Rifles have started a strict siege with the officers of security agencies. However, no statement has been issued by the army regarding the reasons for the blast so far.
