Pakistan's ill-fated former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's party has said that the delay in his travel for treatment abroad is increasing his health. Actually, Sharif is waiting for his name to be removed from the flight ban list. The 69-year-old supremo of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) agreed on Friday to seek treatment in Britain, following the advice of doctors and the request of his family.
Nawaz's name is not removed from the restricted flight list
He was to fly to London by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Sunday morning. The government has not yet removed Sharif's name from the flight ban list (Exit Control List-ECL) as the chairman of the National Accountability Bureau is not available to issue a no-objection certificate in the case. PML-N spokeswoman Maryam Aurangzeb tweeted that according to doctors, there is a need to speed up the process of Sharif going abroad.
