Dubai : In the one-day match between India and Hong Kong under the Asia Cup in Dubai, where Team India won by 26 runs, Hong Kong's batsmen won hearts by playing spectacular cricket. Hoping to chase down the target of 286 runs from India, the Hong Kong team had a fantastic start. Hong Kong opening batsmen Nijakat Khan and Nishkumar Rath completed their feathers by washing India's bowlers furiously. At one stage both of them gave the Indian fast and spin bowlers a craze for the wicket. Both of them added 174 runs for the first wicket. In the 34th over, Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav broke the partnership with Hong Kong captain Captain Anshuman Rath, caught by Rohit Sharma. Rath scored 73 runs in 97 balls with four fours and a six.
Fast bowler Khalil Ahmed, who played his first ODI, also performed brilliantly. In his second spell, he returned to the century by nudging the left-hander Nizam Khan and returned India to the match. Nizakat scored 92 runs in 115 balls with 12 fours and a six. Khalil soon after Christopher Carter, out of the hands of Dhoni, gave Team India the third success. However, Dhawan scored 127 runs in 120 balls with 15 fours and two sixes. But on the other hand, the Indian batsmen could not make a big score due to falling wickets at regular intervals. Earlier, Indian captain Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan started the innings. Both added 45 runs for the first wicket. Rohit, who scored three double centuries in ODI cricket, has scored just 23 runs against Hong Kong.
