The stock market opened with a slight uptick on the last day of the week after setting a new record on Thursday. The BSE Sensex gained +8.09 points to open at 41,138.26 points, while the NSE Nifty opened 4.95 points down at 12,146.20. On Thursday, Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries Ltd also created new history and the country's first company, whose market cap crossed Rs 10 lakh crore.
At 9.35 am, out of the top 30 Sensex companies, only eight stocks are trading in the green zone and 22 stocks are trading in the red zone. The shares of Yes Bank, Bharti Airtel, Tata Motors are seeing a boom, while the shares of Tata Steel, ICICI and Kotak Bank continue to decline.
Nifty , which has reached the half of Pakistan's GDP, is also trading at 12,116, down by 34 points. There are only 17 stocks in the Nifty-50 which are trading in the green zone, while the price of 33 stocks has declined. The Nifty has Infratel, Yes Bank, Jill, Bharti Airtel and GAIL Top-5 gainers. Tata Steel, Hindalco, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Eicher Motors are the top-5 losers.
