New Delhi: The BJP accused Congress President Rahul Gandhi of mocking national security on Thursday and said that he is trying to create a political career by spreading lies on the Rafael fighter aircraft deal. BJP's national spokesperson, Sakhid Patra, targeted Gandhi for his allegation that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was corrupt. The spokesman said that Congress President himself comes from a family of middlemen.
Patra alleged that his family made money from each defense deal before 2014. They alleged that Gandhi and his party threatened the security of the country. He accused Gandhi of trying to create a political career by spreading lies on the Rafael deal. Patra said that Gandhi is lying and is mocking national security.
He said that Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanah has described the Raphael deal as a "photo changer", but Gandhi is completely reversed. Patra said that now the people of the country will decide which one to believe, the Chief of the Air Force or the Gandhi. Earlier in the day, Gandhi demanded a probe into the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Rafael Deal and alleged that he was a "corrupt person" who took advantage of 30,000 crore rupees to Anil Ambani in the purchase of 36 aircraft.
