If you thought the N95 masks you see around you are boring, say hello to Razar’s Project Hazel. Revealed at CES 2021, Razar’s Project Hazel is supposed to be the “world’s smartest face mask”.The Project Hazel mask has a glossy plastic shell that’s scratch-resistant and waterproof and it also features detachable and rechargeable active ventilators and high bacterial filtration efficiency (BFE) smart pods that regulate airflow.
Project Hazel is also transparent so it allows others view facial cues which aid in social interactions, as Razer explained. Since masks make it impossible to view non-verbal clues, like people smiling etc, the company wanted to address that with the design of Project Hazel. Also, if you are wearing this mask in the dark, interior lighting gets activated automatically.
