The body of Major Kaustubh P. Rane, the martyr martyr in an encounter with militants in Jammu and Kashmir, reached his native home in Maharashtra on Thursday. Major were martyred by terrorists on LoC

Major Rane was involved in four jawans who were killed in an encounter with militants near the Line of Control (LoC) in Bandipora district on Tuesday. An official said that his body was reached to his house on Mirra Road Thursday. In the coffin wrapped in the national flag, his body was handed over to the presence of family members, army and other officials in Mumbai on Wednesday evening. On Thursday, the coffin, decorated with flowers, was brought from the army truck to his house, where he will be cremated with full military honors. During this time many people were shouting 'Maj Kaustubh Rane Amar Amte' and 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai'. During this time many people waved the tricolor and many women were crying.

 

 

 

The only son of the parents was Kaustubh

Rane's hometown has an atmosphere of mourning since Tuesday. In Rane's family, his parents Prakash and Jyoti Rane, sister Kashyapi, wife Kanika, and a two and a half year old son are Agastya. The only son of his parents, Rane had completed his childhood dream of joining the army after completing military training from Pune and later he was appointed as an officer in the elite officer training academy of Chennai in 2011.
