Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy: Karnataka and Tamil Nadu will clash with the title

Karnataka and Tamil Nadu have made it to the finals of the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament (Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019-20) by winning the semi-finals. The final match will be played between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka on December 1 at Lalabhai Contractor Stadium in Surat.

 

 

 

Karnataka openers KL Rahul (Dev Rahul) and Devdutt Padikkal along with Abhimanyu Mithun (Abhimanyu Mithun) were the heroes of the Karnataka team in the semifinal match against Haryana. Mithun stopped the Haryana team on a score of 194 with a brilliant five wickets, including a hat-trick. After this, Rahul and Devdutt chased the target to form a matchwinning partnership of 125 runs for the first wicket.

 

 

 

Indian top order batsman Rahul scored an innings of 66 runs with the help of four fours and six sixes in 31 balls. At the same time, Devdutt scored 87 runs with the help of 11 fours and four sixes in 42 balls. Mayank Agarwal's 30-run innings with half-centuries from Rahul and Devdutt helped Karnataka reach their target of 195 for just 2 wickets in 15 overs and cut the final ticket.

 

 

 

Spinner Washington Sundar landed to bat at number three

 

Tamil Nadu called Rajasthan to bat first in the second semi-final. The Rajasthan team could only manage 112 runs for nine wickets. Only four Rajasthan batsmen reached double digits. For Tamil Nadu, Vijay Shankar (2 for 13 from four overs) was the most successful bowler.

 

 

 

In reply, Tamil Nadu won 116 for three in 17.5 overs. Washington Sundar, who came out to bat at number three, scored an unbeaten 53 which included three fours and an equal number of sixes. He added 68 runs for the second wicket with opener Ravichandran Ashwin (31). Due to which Tamil Nadu defeated Rajasthan by 7 wickets and made it to the finals.
