Need of joint efforts to deal with poverty, pollution: Venkaiah

Chennai: Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu called on Thursday to use combined will, overall intelligence and shared resources to deal with challenges like poverty alleviation and pollution control. Addressing the Convocation of Presidency College, Naidu said that there is a need for joint efforts to address these major problems. He said, our country is facing many challenges including problems like poverty and environmental pollution.

 

 

 

 

 

He said that these challenges can not be dealt with easily in any way and no single person can deal with them. This will require joint will, overall intelligence and shared resources. Addressing the present students, Vice President said, "We are building Team India today where development is integrated and inclusive. For this work you will need your complete dedication and small but significant sacrifice.
