Co-operative Bank's MD, Deepak Kumar, against Vigilance

Vigilance has started investigating against Deepak Kumar, Managing Director of Uttarakhand State Co-operative Bank, in connection with excess of income. Based on the inputs received from the intelligence after the complaints regarding the assets of MD, the government has decided to conduct an open inquiry from Vijlens.

 

 

 

Actually, complaints against the managing director were going on for more than a lot of income from time immemorial. Among them, their property, vehicle was mentioned in addition to the benami property. The Government had taken these complaints seriously and conducted a confidential investigation from the Department of Intelligence.

 

 

 

On confirmation of the complaints in the investigation, on the basis of the facts received from the Intelligence, the government has ordered an investigation into Vigilance on December 17, 2018. State Co-operative Bank is headquartered at Haldwani. Meanwhile, the Vigilance headquarters entrusted the responsibility of open investigation to the Haldwani sector of Vigilance.

 

 

 

Irregularities in appointment to MD post

 

Vigilance has started the compilation of evidence against the managing director. Vigilance officials say that further action will be taken on the basis of the facts in the open investigation. In this case, Deepak Kumar, Managing Director of State Co-operative Bank, says there is no truth in the complaints of more property than income. He is ready to face every inquiry. He alleged that since the formation of the co-operative bank's MD, some people are engaged in making unrestrained complaints under the conspiracy against them.

 

 

 

The appointment of Deepak Kumar as Managing Director of State Co-operative Bank is also under the scanner of Savla. Deepak Kumar, who was on deputation to the State Co-operative Bank from the Cadre General Manager, District Co-operative Bank, was made Managing Director of the State Co-operative Bank. When the government examined the complaints with co-operative secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram, it was revealed that several types of irregularities were carried out in her appointment. It is alleged that the file approval of Deepak Kumar's appointment was not sent to the minister nor the chief minister. Secretary Co-operative had recommended to reconsider the appointment of MD to the Government.
