London: A new tradition was started with a unique black worship on Deepawali festival in Croydon suburb of Southern London. This program, organized by non-profit organization Croidon Bengali Connection (CBC), attracted hundreds of Indian expatriates and local politicians.
CBC said in a statement that Deepawali has been involved in the most important festivals of the Hindu calendar and it is celebrated with the annual puja of Mother Kali. This is the first time that these two great celebrations were celebrated together in London. "
In this program, Croydon Central joined Labor Party Member Sarah Jones and Croydon Council Mayor Bernadette Khan. Along with burning the lamp in it, Indian food of worship was arranged. Queen Elizabeth II has also greeted the Kali Puja.
