But now it is becoming difficult to stay in the market. Due to which, an organization known as Multilingual Online Encyclopedia has appealed to Indian readers for donation. The organization says that it is becoming difficult to sustain in the era of marketization.

Concerned about the dangers of commercialization, Wikipedia addressed Indian readers, saying, "We are dependent on donations but 98 percent of readers do not donate.
