Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday alleged that RSS (RSS) is trying to destroy communal harmony by promoting violence in the name of Sabarimala issue. Visiting a four-day UAE visit, Vijayan alleged in Facebook post that those trying to disturb communal harmony are taking help from criminal gangs to incite violence. He said that Sabarimala is such a place of worship where people of other religions, including Christians and Muslims, also come.
He alleged that the RSS agenda is that people from other religions should be stopped from performing worship in Sabarimala. He said that the RSS agenda of controlling Sabarimala is not acceptable and the state government is committed to implement the order of the Supreme Court allowing women of all ages to enter the temple.
Meanwhile, Godswam Minister Kadakapally Surendran issued an audio clip of a leader of the International Hindu Council, in which he is appealing people to come to Sabarita to participate in the agitation against the orders of the Supreme Court. He alleged that the RSS is responsible for organizing people against the decision of the court. He also questioned the Bharatiya Janata Party's state president PS Sreedharan Pillai for violating the injunction imposed on four places in Patsamthitta district.
