Australian opener Usman Khawaja said he is recovering from a knee injury earlier and he is confident that he will be able to make a place in the team for the four-match Test series against India starting next month.
Khwaja in an attempt to recover from injuries
Khawaja had surgery on October 23. In a conversation with Cricket Australia, Khwaja said, "So far I am recovering. I think that where I should be in the process of recovery, I am recovering before that time. "He said," I had lost weight of at least 10 kilograms in my South Africa match seven months ago, so I am confident that it helps the knees. "Khwaja had played 85 and 141 in the first match against Pakistan last month.
Fit to be before the first test
Test series between India and Australia starts on 6 December. The first test between the two teams will be played in Adelaide. But, Khwaja will be desperate to get his fitness by playing for Queensland in the Sheffield Shield match that will be held in Victoria in Brisbane from November 27 before that.
